📢 Changes to Pedestrian Traffic in the Plant

As part of the urgent integration of the Privas production lines (THOT project), the plant must rapidly increase its production space.

🔎 Options considered

Several solutions were explored:

  • Expanding the usable production area
  • Modifying patios to create a new corridor
    ➜ requires waterproofing and structural work
  • Routing pedestrian traffic outside the building
    ➜ requires resurfacing and upgrading walkways
  • Reworking the existing ESD corridor along the south wall

✅ Selected solution

During the May 21 Works Council (CSE), management presented its analysis of pedestrian traffic:

  • Around 900 daily movements (both directions combined)
  • Mainly for access to the cafeteria, restaurant, parcel room, etc.

👉 The chosen option is:
Reworking the existing corridor along the south wall
(new walkway highlighted in blue on the plan)

Why this choice?
Other options were rejected due to:

  • High costs
  • Long implementation timelines
  • Regulatory constraints (Local Urban Plan)

⚠️ Guidelines to follow

Management asks everyone to:

  • Keep noise to a minimum while moving through the area
  • Avoid stopping in these workspaces

  • 900 daily crossings through areas now functioning as passageways
  • Increased disturbance for employees working in open spaces
